AD BUILD, trading as Anthony Duncan Builders Pty Ltd
AD BUILD, trading as Anthony Duncan Builders Pty Ltd, is a small domestic and commercial building company based in Eagle Point, between Bairnsdale and Paynesville, on the Gippsland Lakes, in East Gippsland, Victoria. AD BUILD specialises in building custom detailed homes in the Paynesville district.
The company began in 1996 with Anthony Duncan as its sole employee. After completing his building apprenticeship with HR Turner and Sons Pty Ltd in Paynesville, Anthony made the decision to become an independent registered builder after Bill's retirement in 1995.
Building high quality homes
AD BUILD has grown since this time and has continued to hold the values of building high quality homes with attention to detail. They have strived to build a name synonymous with quality and interesting design. They have strong relationships with local architects and draftspeople and believe in referral from 'word of mouth' rather than heavy advertising.
Over the years AD BUILD has experimented with different models of business including developing two teams working at different worksites but have made the conscious decision for Anthony to be present on all worksites to maintain the high levels of workmanship required for these projects.
Employing local trades
AD BUILD employs local tradespeople and suppliers. This ensures a high level of service and quality on their projects. They have found that this relationship allows them to continue access to trades after the contract has been completed. They believe strongly in training the next generation of builders and have for many years employed local youth in apprenticeship positions.
